FREE energy efficient home improvements

Piggy bank

Would you like to reduce your energy bills? And help the environment at the same time?

You, or someone you know, may qualify to have energy saving improvements installed for FREE.

North Tyneside Council is working with the energy company E.ON to provide energy efficient products such as solar panels, wall insulation and home heat pumps to local homes.

These are free to eligible householders as part of the government’s Green Homes Grant scheme. Your home is eligible if:

  • You own and live in your property; and
  • Your gross household income is less than £30,000 per year; and
  • Your home’s energy rating EPC is either D, E, F, or G. If you aren’t sure what your home’s rating is, we can arrange to check this for you

Find out more on the council website here or call the Green Homes Grant team at E.ON on 0333 202 4859 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm).
