Live Well with Cancer empowers anyone affected by cancer in North Tyneside and the surrounding areas to improve their health and wellbeing. At their Wellbeing Centre in the heart of North Shields, they offer workshops, events, support groups and 1-2-1 support to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, including family, friends, carers and healthcare professionals.
Recognising the importance of developing educational resources that leave a positive legacy in the community, the charity has partnered up with learning resource providers Transformational Learning to create two unique wellness journals that help people live well during the day and sleep better at night.
- The Wellbeing 9-a-Day Journal offers a holistic framework for users to build upon the nine foundational habits of a healthy lifestyle. This tool is already helping people transform their health and wellness. A new 1-week version is already in development after receiving funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. - The Sleep Better Journal. Delivering a series of sleep masterclasses for the Northern Cancer Alliance, Live Well with Cancer partnered up with Transformational Learning to develop The Sleep Better Series e-Learning series. They are now looking for volunteers to help them trial the first version of The Sleep Better Journal, a tool that puts the power in users’ hands as they improve their sleep, starting on Wednesday 13th November at the LWWC Wellbeing Centre in North Shields – contact Live Well With Cancer for details. Both journals are designed for people of all ages, providing frameworks that users can personalise to their own wants and needs.
