New digital training platform for the VCS

North Tyneside VODA is excited to be working in partnership with Northumberland CVA and Connected Voice (formerly Newcastle CVS) to develop a new digital training platform aimed at trustees, staff and volunteers.

The partnership, led by Connected Voice, has been successful in securing £15,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Development Fund.  The money will fund the design and development of a suite of online training sessions, which will be piloted across the North of Tyne area in the first year. During this development period, the one hour training sessions on a range of subjects will be offered free of charge to everyone and we will use the feedback gathered to improve our offer.

The new online training platform will be accessible 24/7 from anywhere with internet access and so will overcome the challenges presented by geography, time and transport that often make it difficult for people to access the training they need face to face. Initially we will be developing sessions on Good Governance, Good Fundraising, and Volunteers and the Law and aim to expand the range of subjects as the project moves forward.

Work will start in March and we can’t wait to begin. We’ll post regular updates via our fortnightly e-bulletins.
