We are delighted to announce that grants of £1,000 to £10,000 have been launched to support community initiatives in Weetslade, Camperdown, and Longbenton wards. The grants aim to fund work that closes gaps in provision, eliminates barriers to accessing services, and creates new volunteering opportunities.
VCSE organisations with an income of less than £2m in North Tyneside can apply for grants between £1,000 and £10,000.
The fund prioritises activities that build strong relationships, increase community capacity, and provide opportunities for residents to shape local issues and services.
Projects must take place within the target wards and benefit residents within those areas.❗️️
Priority areas for funding include activities that promote community-building, increase the capacity of voluntary and community organisations, and provide opportunities for residents to participate in local decision-making.
Grants can be used for additional salary costs, staff travel, training, equipment, publicity and promotion, room hire, and other project-related expenses.
Organisations must have an income of less than £2m, and activities must be charitable in nature.
A total of £160,000 is available for the Community Partnership Grant, which is expected to fund between 10 and 15 projects.
