Newcastle Round Table Funding

Local voluntary and community organisations across Tyneside are invited to apply for grants of up to £5,000 through the 2026 funding round from Newcastle Round Table.

Part of the wider Round Table Great Britain and Ireland movement, founded in 1927, the Newcastle branch has been supporting local communities for more than 60 years. Alongside organising events such as fireworks displays and community fundraising activities, members raise funds each year to distribute to good causes making a positive difference locally.

About the funding

With continued pressures linked to the cost of living, Newcastle Round Table is keen to support organisations delivering meaningful, local activity. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to eligible groups operating in the Tyneside area.

Funding must support local charitable or community-based work. Please note:

  • Applications are open to organisations only (not individuals).

  • Funding cannot support events.

  • Funding will not be awarded for the direct provision of food parcels, fuel or utilities vouchers, or other commodities to individuals.

  • Standard restrictions apply, including no funding for alcohol or holidays.

Previously funded projects

Newcastle Round Table has previously supported a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Expansion of the Men’s Pie Club programme across the region

  • Delivery of life skills programmes for people with a learning disability

  • Purchase of gym equipment to enable exercise sessions for people with disabilities

  • Recruitment, training and support of volunteers delivering bereavement support services
