North of Tyne Community Led Local Development

They are looking for new projects that will support local people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods to overcome barriers to education, training, employment and self-employment, hopefully to help them find jobs or set up their own businesses. They can also fund projects that support local business to thrive.

They have seen how projects across Newcastle and Wallsend have continued to support local people throughout the pandemic and have been amazed at the flexibility shown by our voluntary and community sector. They know that access to employment, skills support as well as targeted business support for local businesses will be increasingly important in 2021 and are keen to hear from local organisations with projects ideas that are ready to get off the ground asap!

Please remember the CLLD funding priorities;
1. Supporting local people to overcome the barriers to education, training, employment or self-employment;
2. Supporting local people with a business idea to set up a business;
3. Providing tailored business support to local SMEs.
