Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme

Applications are now open for the fifteenth round of funding, with £20 million available to support energy-related projects across England, Scotland and Wales.

Since November 2025, community energy organisations — including co‑operatives, community benefit societies, community interest companies and registered charities — have been eligible to apply for grants through the Main and Small Funds. This funding supports projects that help households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills. Additional funding streams focus on innovative energy solutions and reducing carbon emissions.

Available Funding Streams

Grants of £50,000–£2 million for projects supporting households in vulnerable situations.
  • Impact Fund (£500,000)
Grants of £20,000–£500,000 for projects measuring the impact of energy advice and related interventions.
  • Small Project Fund (£1m)
Grants of £20,000–£49,999 for smaller projects supporting vulnerable households.
  • Innovation Fund (£3m)
Grants of £20,000–£1 million for developing new energy-related products or services to benefit households.
  • Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (£2m)
Grants of £20,000–£1 million for projects that reduce UK carbon emissions and empower households to lower their carbon footprint.
  • Just Transition Fund (£1m)
Grants of £20,000–£250,000 for community renewable energy projects benefiting energy consumers in vulnerable situations.
