DiscoverMe Summer 2025 Taster Sessions

Young people aged 16–25 in North Tyneside are invited to join DiscoverMe’s free summer taster sessions. These relaxed, friendly events are a great way to meet others, find out more about DiscoverMe and enjoy some summer treats.

  • Monday 11 August | 2–4pm
    Coast & Cones @ The Base, Whitley Bay
    Enjoy a walk by the sea and a free ice cream.
  • Wednesday 13 August | 4–5:30pm
    Social Drop-In @ Howdon Family Hub
    Meet new people, learn about DiscoverMe, and tuck into some pizza.
  • Thursday 14 August | 5–6:30pm
    Movie Night @ YMCA, North Shields
    Relax with a film, snacks, and good company.

Mindful Kitchen

Mondays

Discover how to cook healthy meals on a budget while exploring the connection between food and mood. All skill levels are welcome.

Every Monday, 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Barnardo’s The Base, Whitley Bay

Neurodivergent Group

Mondays

A safe space for anyone who identifies as neurodivergent. Meet other young people and learn some healthy coping strategies.

Wednesdays

A chill space for young people to grab a drink, connect, and support each other – no pressure, just good vibes.
