What is the North Tyneside Mental Health Alliance?
The North Tyneside Mental Health Alliance was established in 2022 to build a place-based alliance of voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations.
Our mission is to build a strong, accessible Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Mental Health Alliance that influences and supports emerging mental health strategies. We want to increase confidence within the VCSE sector to be recognised as equal partners with statutory colleagues and ensure the sector has a voice.

- To provide a co-ordinated route for health partners to reach a wide range of VCSE sector organisations.
- To strengthen the existing relationships within the VCSE sector, to encourage and support collaborative working.
- To support building the capacity and profile of VCSE sector providers.

The Impact of the Alliance so far
In Spring 2024, Canny Productions was commissioned to film a short video showing the impact of the North Tyneside Mental Health Alliance. We’re delighted to share it to celebrate and promote the work so far. Many thanks to the Alliance members for their support and participation in the production of this video.
