The Port of Tyne Community Action Fund will support projects with the following three priorities:
Improving health and wellbeing
- Positive activities to support mental health and wellbeing for people who are particularly isolated and/or vulnerable
- Positive activities to promote and support improved physical health for people in areas of need and to promote healthier choices
Helping children and young people to thrive
- Learning opportunities and activities
- Supporting activities to reduce poverty
- Improving health and encouraging play
- Developing skills and confidence towards work
Helping communities thrive, building stronger communities through people and places
- Creating positive places and spaces for all to enjoy
- Bringing people together
- Improving the environment
- Creating volunteering opportunities
- Encouraging positive community life
- Supporting activities within the community
- Helping with employability skills and vocational training
