Port of Tyne Community Action Fund

The Port of Tyne Community Action Fund will support projects with the following three priorities:

Improving health and wellbeing

  • Positive activities to support mental health and wellbeing for people who are particularly isolated and/or vulnerable
  • Positive activities to promote and support improved physical health for people in areas of need and to promote healthier choices

Helping children and young people to thrive

  • Learning opportunities and activities
  • Supporting activities to reduce poverty
  • Improving health and encouraging play
  • Developing skills and confidence towards work

Helping communities thrive, building stronger communities through people and places

  • Creating positive places and spaces for all to enjoy
  • Bringing people together
  • Improving the environment
  • Creating volunteering opportunities
  • Encouraging positive community life
  • Supporting activities within the community
  • Helping with employability skills and vocational training
