The Port of Tyne Community Action Fund

The Port of Tyne Community Action Fund will support projects that address one or more of the following priorities in the North East, with Tyneside a priority :

  • Volunteering and skills development for young people or adults furthest from the employment market
  • Activities which help people affected by poor mental health or isolation e.g. peer support groups
  • Activities which support families affected by food poverty and promote healthier choices e.g. cooking on a budget, family cookery sessions
  • Supporting children through positive activities to develop confidence, social skills and encouraging play e.g. parent and toddler groups, youth sessions
  • Addressing poverty and inequality including support for charities that provide welfare benefits advice and food

Organisations are invited to apply for a grant of between £1,000 and £5,000.
