Thomas Wall Trust

The Thomas Wall Trust is offering grants of up to £5,000 to UK-registered charities that support disadvantaged adults to develop communication skills aimed at improving employability.

Eligible projects should help people aged 18 and over—such as disabled adults, refugees, long-term unemployed or those facing multiple disadvantages—to gain practical skills, including listening, speaking, confidence and emotional understanding. Beneficiaries must gain at least one accredited vocational qualification during delivery or within two months of project completion.

Charities must have been established for at least three years, with an annual income between £25,000 and £500,000. The Trust prioritises projects that offer vocational qualifications, encourage long-term sustainability, and demonstrate collaboration with local partners. Core costs are not covered and funding is limited to UK-based activities.

Applications follow a two-stage process: submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), and if shortlisted, complete a full application including a project plan, budget and key policies.

The deadline for this round is Monday, 22 September 2025.
