Weston Charity Awards 2026 Now Open for Applications

Small charities across the North of England, the Midlands and Wales can now apply for the 2026 Weston Charity Awards, offering a support package designed to help organisations strengthen their leadership, grow sustainably and increase their impact.

Delivered by Pilotlight in partnership with the Garfield Weston Foundation, the Awards are aimed at registered charities working in community, welfare, youth or environmental services. Eligible organisations must have an annual income under £5 million, at least one full-time paid leader and a minimum of two years’ operational history.

Award winners receive a combined support package worth more than £22,000, including:

  • An unrestricted grant of £6,500 to support strategic development or organisational needs.

  • A place on Pilotlight 360, an eight-month leadership and organisational development programme delivered by experienced business professionals.

  • Tailored guidance on strategy, income diversification, governance and sustainability, as well as opportunities for peer learning and collaboration.

More than 200 charities have taken part since the Awards launched in 2014, with many reporting stronger leadership, improved planning and increased confidence in navigating future challenges.

Applications for the 2026 round are open now and close at 5pm on Friday 9 January 2026.
