Windrush 26 – Near Neighbours

Community organisations across England are invited to apply for funding through the Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2026, a national programme supporting projects that commemorate, celebrate and educate about the Windrush generation and their descendants.

Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government and delivered by Near Neighbours, the scheme offers up to £500,000 in total, with individual grants of £5,000–£25,000 for community-led events, cultural and educational activities.

Eligible applicants include charities, social enterprises, community groups and local authorities in England. Projects must be inclusive, non-political and not retrospectively funded. Near Neighbours will host bidding workshops.

Applications close at 23:59 on Tuesday 10 February 2026
