Event Funding – Armed Forces Day

Charities, schools, local councils, and community organisations can now apply for match-funded grants of up to £10,000 to support Armed Forces Day events in 2026.

The Ministry of Defence has made funding available to cover up to 50% of event costs, with eligible expenses including road closures, decorations, advertising, security, insurance, and communication systems.

Events must be held within two weeks of Armed Forces Day on the 27th June 2026, and should focus on thanking the Armed Forces community rather than fundraising or recruitment. To apply, organisers must first register their event on the Armed Forces Day website and will receive a link to the grant application upon approval.

The closing date for applications is the 30th April 2026.
