NT LIFE Update: A New Chapter Begins

NT LIfe Logo with white lighthouse on yellow background.

We’re proud to share some fantastic news from NT LIFE Recovery College – with guidance and support from VODA, we’ve reached two major milestones: we are now a registered charity, and we’re moving into a brand-new, more accessible premises in North Shields.

Becoming a charity is a big step forward for NT LIFE. It means greater sustainability, more opportunities to grow, and stronger partnerships across the community. It’s also a recognition of the incredible impact NT LIFE has had on mental health recovery and wellbeing in North Tyneside.

But that’s not all — we’re moving into brand-new premises, offering a welcoming, accessible space where our learners can connect, grow, and thrive together. Our new venue, 108-110 Howard Street, North Shields, is more accessible, and the space will allow us to offer more sessions and activities, along with larger group sizes.

What this means for you:

  • Even greater focus on our mission: empowering individuals, through lived experience and peer-led education and support, to manage and maintain their mental health and wellbeing.
  • A dedicated new space designed with wellbeing in mind
  • Greater sustainability and impact as a registered charity
  • More opportunities to collaborate with local community services
  • More opportunities for funding and support

We thank every single person—learners, volunteers, trustees, stakeholders, and supporters—for your continued belief in NT LIFE. This is your achievement, too.

Our move will be completed by the end of May 2025. Come and visit us at our new location, 108-110 Howard Street, North Shields — we can’t wait to welcome you!
