About Meadow Well Connected NT

Meadowwell Connected is a community hub and extensive garden which facilitates and supports our residents to take charge of their lives and have the power to make the decisions that matter to them and their community. We provide a safe, welcoming space where people of all ages can come together to build positive relationships and learn new skills.

Our vision is ‘to create a thriving community that’s a great place to live, work and play’ and our mission is ‘to work positively with local people to achieve our shared vision’.

We have 3 core strategic aims:
• Community Involvement
• Skills Development
• Well-being
We work to achieve these through a range of community-led interventions from our large community building and gardens. Current services include:-

Digitally Connected – a free to use, supported Digital suite enabling people to gain core digital and employability skills.
Community Garden – our 5 acre community garden which offers opportunities to learn horticulture skills for people of all abilities; growing produce for use in our café and for sale to local people; an apiary providing honey and learning opportunities on bee-keeping and an emphasis on permaculture and connecting people of all ages with nature.
Connected Kids Club – our affordable after-school club which is available to local children aged 8-13 and includes a meal and access to lots of activities. We offer a ‘Walking Bus’ service from local primary schools to enable children to attend safely.
Joinery Workshop – we have an 8 station fully equipped joinery workshop where we support students from Alternative Education Provision and adults with learning differences to gain joinery skills and confidence.
Supported volunteer programme – providing volunteering opportunities across our provision with support from our Volunteer Coordinator.
Well Together & PAUSE [Problematic Alcohol Use … Say Enough!] – our health and wellbeing programme which includes a specialised service to support clients with alcohol issues.
Thrive – is our adult day care service which provides support for adults with additional needs to learn new skills and have fun.
Community Café – our onsite café offering home cooked food at affordable prices.

The Bay Food Bank are located on our site and we aim to work positively with them to support local people.
We also have a number of permanent tenants and a range of rooms for sessional hire.
