Schroder Charity Trust

The Schroder Charity Trust provides one‑off grants of up to £5,000 to UK‑registered charities. Its funding aims to support disadvantaged children and young adults, and strengthen communities by improving wellbeing, education, employment prospects and life outcomes for vulnerable groups.

Who can apply
Eligible applicants are UK‑registered charities that operate within the Trust’s income guidelines. Grants are awarded to organisations whose projects align with the Trust’s focus on supporting young people, vulnerable adults, and community development initiatives.

What the funding supports
Grants may be used for:

  • Education and learning programmes that improve literacy, numeracy or employability skills for children and young people

  • Projects that provide practical support, mentoring, or life skills for disadvantaged youth

  • Initiatives that enhance community wellbeing or provide services for vulnerable or disadvantaged people

  • Costs directly associated with delivering specific projects or programmes that meet the Trust’s priorities

Application process
Applications are submitted online via the Trust’s website. Charities are expected to clearly demonstrate how their project aligns with the Trust’s objectives and the outcomes it aims to achieve. Grants are usually awarded for a single year and are intended to make a tangible difference for beneficiaries.
