Youth Music’s Shift the Scene Fund

Youth Music’s Shift the Scene Fund is offering grants of up to £200,000 to organisations in England that provide creative opportunities for Disabled children and young people. The fund aims to support projects that promote genuine inclusion, accessibility and ambition within the creative sector, empowering Disabled voices to lead the way.

Informed by Youth Music’s Excluded by Design research and developed with the Shift the Scene Steering Group, the fund seeks to challenge ableism and drive systemic change through advocacy, creativity and community.

Key dates:

  • Online application form available: 31 October 2025

  • Stage 1 deadline: 5pm, 28 November 2025

  • Stage 1 notification: 6 February 2026

  • Stage 2 interviews: 23 February – 6 March 2026

  • Final notification: 27 March 2026

  • Project start dates: May – September 2026

The fund is open to established organisations working across any creative discipline, not just music. Applicants should already have experience working with Disabled people across their organisation, demonstrate a commitment to the social model of disability, and prioritise inclusion, equity and access from the outset.

Youth Music will also host two online Q&A sessions for organisations wishing to learn more about the fund and application process.
