We are an ambitious charity which is working hard to meet the complexity of health needs for people affected by cancer in the North East. We currently have a turnover of £380,000 and need to increase this year on year with the prediction that cancer will affect one in two of us in the next twenty years.

About Coping with Cancer North East

We provide emotional, mental, physical and social support for anyone who has been affected by cancer, including families and carers. We do this through coaching, counselling, complementary therapy and acupuncture as well as general advice, guidance and signposting to relevant specialist services.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone special, a qualified accountant who

· has 5 – 6 hrs per month to work with us as a volunteer in the role of Treasurer

· has 1 hour per month to attend our online trustee meetings and contribute to our ongoing developments and projects

· has working experience of Xero accountancy software

· has experience of small business/charity accounting priorities and deadlines
