Volunteer Car Driver
This volunteering role would involve picking up and returning older people back to their homes. This is to allow older people, who have difficulty accessing transport and need that little bit of support, to attend our activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to help older people in the community who are often lonely, isolated and just need that helping hand. Any support would be welcome and there is no expectation you can do all of the sessions and there is no requirement to stay while they join in with the activities.
A full induction into the role will be provided with out of pocket expenses in accordance with MHA’s Expenses Policy.
The main venues to transport to are North Shields Methodist Church (Hawkeys Lane), St Johns Church (Ilfracomb Gardens, Whitley Bay) The Catholic Club (Cecil Street, North Shields).
