Pat Test North East Supporting Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

Before electrical items donated to Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter charity shops can be sold, they must be PAT tested—a process that can be costly and divert funds from the shelter’s vital work.

That’s where Carl and the team from Pat Test North East step in. Volunteering their time and expertise, they regularly visit the shelter’s shops to PAT test donated equipment. Their support ensures items are safe for resale and helps the shelter maximise its fundraising potential.

What began as a practical solution has blossomed into a valued partnership. Built on trust, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference, this collaboration demonstrates how local organisations can support one another to create lasting impact.
