As part of their longstanding commitment to supporting the local community, the Co-op has recruited hundreds of “Member Pioneers” across the country, who are tasked with getting to know their local community (particularly community groups and local charities) with a view to strengthening the network within the local community, and to see how the Co-op might be able to help.
They have three Member Pioneers in North Tyneside:

- Lynda Clark ([email protected]) who covers Cullercoats and Whitley Bay
- Andy Urwin ([email protected]) who covers North Shields and Tynemouth
Feel free to contact them if you are connected to a community group or local charity that you think might benefit from better links with the Co-op. They can also help you to promote your group through the Co-op’s Co-Operate website, which lists not-for-profit groups and events, both in the area, and nationwide.
