Good Neighbours Shopping/Prescriptions Volunteer
DESCRIPTION
The Good Neighbours project recruits, trains and supports volunteers to carry out a variety of practical tasks commonly associated with those carried out by a ‘good neighbour’. The Good Neighbours project assists beneficiaries with their shopping and collection of prescriptions to help meet increased need in the community.
It is essential that people who are vulnerable or isolated from their community have access to essentials of food and medicine. If a resident is unable to shop independently or access home delivery, the Good Neighbours project can help. We are looking for volunteers that can help with collecting and delivering shopping and prescriptions for a beneficiary. This role will involve volunteers handling money and having direct contact with the beneficiary.
