Good Neighbours Moving Furniture Volunteer
DESCRIPTION
The Good Neighbours project recruits, trains and supports volunteers to carry out a variety of practical tasks commonly associated with those carried out by a ‘good neighbour’. The Good Neighbours project has identified a key need within the borough of North Tyneside. There are residents with health conditions that may require specialist equipment or beds at their home, but they don't have anyone to call on for help to move their furniture to make space for this. There are residents who may need furniture moved around for adaptations to be put in their home residents who need to clear space and those who can't move their furniture outside for removal.
We're looking for people who are confident in moving furniture in and around a beneficiaries home or outside to allow for removal. The role of a moving furniture volunteer will be to provide practical help and a friendly chat. VODA and the Good Neighbours project are seeking to recruit volunteers with the suitable skills and compassion.
