Regional Business and Governance Lead

Support North East Netball as the business and governance lead and help Netball be the best it can be.

Role of Business and Governance lead

· To give guidance on the preparation of annual income and expenditure budgets and to set key budget review dates

· To work with TSGs to set and agree operating budgets and dates

· To ensure that the region has sufficient funds to enable it to fulfil its role and to deliver appropriate activities

· To give decisions, on behalf of RMB, for funding requests

· Support the Treasurer with the preparation of end year accounts and independent audit process

· To review and set the annual rate of regional affiliation rates

· To give advice on income generation

· To manage the AGM/EGM process

· To give advice and guidance to the RMB on the wording of the Regional Constitution and the By Laws

· Manage recruitment of RMB members and TSG Chairs on behalf of the RMB

· Give advice to the RMB on the content of the EN Disciplinary Manual and manage the complaint process

· Keep the North East Regional Office updated on the progress of action on complaints received

· Production of report (written or oral) to each RMB meeting

· Attend the annual Regional Planning day to input to future strategic planning

· Contribute to regional calendar.

The overall aim of the North East Region is to provide access to lifelong netball opportunities through the development of participation, partnerships and quality support systems. We aim to complete this vision, by introducing new players to the game of netball and sustaining their participation, encourage volunteers to help out with all aspects of netball, from event organisation right through to umpiring, there are opportunities for you to get involved.
Overall we are a passionate region, who wants to give the very best to the people living within it. We want to raise awareness of netball, and get as many people as we can playing the game.
